This morning my Versa showed I've taken 999 steps and traveled 7.2 km. The opposite problem to what some people have had. All I had done at the time was take a short walk and probably been about the house a bit. No real exercise other than that.
Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a way to correct the distance?
(I've never had a problem like this before. It's not a major issue for me as long as it's a once off quirk. It's added a few km to distance traveled over time, but in the whole scheme of things, not a lot.)

My Versa counts steps by the thousands

It's the only Fitbit I've ever had, and I'm loving it.
I was just curious if anyone has had a distance expansion like I did this morning. It's never happened before.
I know a few people get extra steps (e.g. when driving). I don't - but the roads I take are fairly smooth and I drive a quiet car (a hybrid). This is different. It's extra distance, not extra steps.
