I've pre-ordered my last three FitBits. This time I also pre-ordered my Versa. I was excited about the new device and when I saw the email Thursday that said my Versa had shipped I eagerly tapped the tracking link.
A label had been printed. Ok, but that means the package is in Indiana; the next state over since I live in Illinois. Tracking estimated I'd get my shiny new FitBit Monday! Ok, That's longer than I'd hoped but Monday isn't too far away.
Sunday I check tracking....delivery slips to Tuesday. Still not too bad and I'm not cranky yet.
Monday I go to work. One of my co-workers walks across Michigan Avenue to Best Buy and comes back with a Versa! I get to ooooh and ahhhh at his knowing mine will come Tuesday.
Tuesday morning I check tracking again to see when my device will be out for delivery.......Thursday!
You've had my money for an extra few weeks if not a month. You couldn't have shipped it with UPS or Fed Ex (actual Fed Ex and not through the USPS like you did!)
With this level of non-preference for customers who give you money in advance I will no longer pre-order from you. I will walk or drive to a retailer and purchase from those who you give preference to.
Seriously Fitbit....you had one job to do.

Due to the amazing acceptance from our Fitbit users, the Versa has had a great launch and we are experiencing some delays in shipping some pre-orders as a result. Rest assured our team is working hard to send your Versa out, so you can enjoy of all the cool features that this Smartwatch has to offer.

My Versa arrived yesterday. I still question your decision to use USPS to fulfill your orders.
I'm not mad at FitBit as a whole but this will change how I purchase your new-shinys. I'll order from Amazon where I get two day shipping on day of launch, or go to a brick and mortar store and buy one.
No more pre-order from the company for me.

I ordered mine on 4/12 and I haven't gotten any kind of shipping confirmation. It said it could ship in 2-3 weeks and then an additional 5-7 days for shipping.I realize it may be too soon but I don't think I'll pre-order anything anymore. I don't usually get new gadgets right when they come out but I'm really excited about this one. I'd rather walk into a brick and mortar store and get it right then than wait.
