Protection required for Versa

Hi All. I am probably going to upgrade from my Blaze to the Versa next week. I see on Amazon there are vRious screen protectors as well as plastic tracker protectors that fit around the tracker itself. I have always used a screen protector on my Blaze, so will do the same with the versa, however are these plastic tracker protectors required or is this just a gimmick?

Neither are "required" and are not offered by Fitbit. I don't use them on either of my Fitbits.

I know my luck with watches. Especialy with the glass. I purchased a screen protector for round about 1 Euro. Thats OK for me. My Charge 2 had a lot of scratces. The tracker protectors are nonsense in my opinion.
