Purchasing a Versa - Comparison

Hi all, I'm thinking of getting the Versa to upgrade from my Surge.  Is there any point?  I don't work out or exercise much, but do walk, I like to track my sleep, and I LOVE gadgets!  Thoughts and opinions please!

PS - there is nothing wrong with my Surge, I just like the look if the Versa

Thanks in advance

LOL, @Rustyfrog ... liking the look of the Versa was reason enough for me. I really like my Versa. From one gadget person to another, allow me to give you a few more reasons to upgrade:

  • The Versa gives you more to “play” with. There are many, many clock faces to choose from. I had a merry Christmas clockface in December, a lovely flowered face last summer, and sometimes, just for fun, I’ll switch to the kitten clock face if my grandkids are coming over.
  • There are apps you can install on your Versa ... news, weather, Starbucks card, To-Do lists and more. I don’t make heavy duty use of most of these apps - except Starbucks. What’s better on a walk than a skinny latte? - but they are fun to check out.
  • The buttons on the Versa are programmable. For example, I use the alarm and the timer frequently so programmed those so that from my clock face, I can press the top, right button to set a timer, or the bottom right button to go directly to alarms.
  • And let's get back to the look of the Versa ... I like that it fits in with anything I’m wearing, whether casual or more formal business wear. It looks more like a watch than an exercise device. And it’s lightweight. That’s important to me, even if I’m retired.
  • You can always save your trusty Surge for a backup.

Do you need any other reasons? 😉

Hiya - Well I received it today, but am having trouble setting it up (I have got the Surge, so I have set devices up before)  I will see if it settles by tomorrow, but I am doubtful.  It won't let me change the watch face - keeps telling me it's not connected, but it is!  Still, I'll give it another go

It looks lovely though, so I definitely want to keep it

Hi there @Rustyfrog, it's nice to hear you received your new Versa! Smiley Very Happy If you replace a lost device or buy a new one, remove your old device from your account. Your data from your old device remains in your account.

To remove a device from your account:

  1. From the Fitbit app dashboard, tap or click the Account icon > your device image.
  2. Tap or click the Remove option (trash can icon on Android phones).

If you're still having inconveniences setting up your Versa, see: Why can't I set up my Fitbit device?
