Hi,
How do I turn off the quick view options (with the wallet, music & quick view settings) when you swipe down on the watch? It gets in the way when I want to clear out notifications, plus I don't use the wallet or music and I have quick view off.
Thanks
Sorry @liz827 I'm not sure what is being asked?
The title mentions Quick view.. You ask how to turn off quick view, that it is in the way of notifications. But you keep Quick view off.
You really do not want to go into the quick view settings of your Versa when reading replying or clearing notifications.
Tap the quick settings icon to the right. This takes you to the Quick settings page..
Taping the bottom right icon enables or disables Quick View.
The Moon enables the DND sleep mode. Which will turn off notifications and disable Quick View.
Please note that with QV disabled the screen will still turn on in response to a touch.
By now you all should have downloaded your user manual and be familiar with the Versa 2 online interactive help guide.
BTW Fitbit changed this to accommodate the many changes requested by fit bit users. While you may not want Alexa many users, since the release of the ionic have been requesting Alexa. Also with the Versa 2 Fitbit pay is not restricted to the more expensive special edition. Sorry but Fitbit pay is no longer an option that requires additional money.
Hi Rich,
You are misunderstanding what we want to disable.
Before the update the additional drop down menu did not exist.
We want to disable this additional menu which shows music, wallet and quick view.
How do you disable this?
I'm in the same boat too. How do we disable this absolutely POINTLESS (and not to mention annoying) new "feature"? Hate it, please tell me there is a way to turn this off! 🙏🏼
I do not understand what is new about the quick view sertings? The quick settings has always been on the Versa. The only thing changed is that the activation process which was done by holding in the button. Now needs a second swipe down. It really is use full for people that want to use Alexa or fitbit pay.
"Now needs a second swipe down"... No! The first swipe down opens the Quick Settings. That's what people are complaining about. If it required a second swipe, we wouldn't have a problem.
@Rich_Laue seems like eager to help, but you're not seeing what people are actually asking. When we swipe down to view notifications, a new drop-down menu with 3 items "Music, Wallet, Settings" automatically lowers from the top down and remains hovering on top of the actual list of notifications, covering about 1/4 of the screen's real estate. This new "drop-down menu" is what some of us do not want to see. We want to be able to scroll up the list of notifications and see everything unobstructed. Forget about the "Quick View" - despite Liz using that term; that's not what we'd like disabled. We don't want to see that menu that pulls down automatically and covers the list of notifications. You could have surmised that easily if you read the comments carefully.
Great response Vlad!
I have given up with this thread. The admins either don't understand or don't care. The customer service from Fitbit lately has been terrible.
Introduce a new feature that we can't disable, well done!
Until last weeks update i had to do a second swipe. Third week it is acting as described, but a simple touch on the screen closes the settings menu.
Bitte stimmt für meinen Funktionsvorschlag, damit sich eventuell etwas verbessert.
@VladXP , @tomdeluca and everyone else. I understand what you are describing. And as I said before, it cannot be disabled. The best way to voice your displeasure is to post a suggestion to make this feature optional. Post your idea/request to the Feature Suggestion Forum then come back here and post a link to your suggestion so like minded people may vote for it. This is where Fitbit gages interest in a request ... or in this case a reversal.
Looks like that feature has been requested. Everyone who wishes it implemented please head out to this Forum Post and vote on it. Cheers!
