Ready to upgrade to Versa - Is it worth it?

Hello!  I've been using a Fitbit for 3 years and currently using Alta HR.  I really want the smartwatch and ready to make the dive.  I was going to go with Apple Watch, but when I researched the Versa, it looks like it will continue to be my best bet for fitness.  I would like some reassurance from people using it that it's worth it and they are liking it.  I've done a lot of research and talking to friends who have had Fitbit and/or AW.  I am an iOS user, and understand I will have to wait on the replies for texts for now.  I would love your feedback, both the good and the bad before I make this purchase.

TIA!

GOOD STUFF

- it tracks well for me with everything (exercise, sleeping, water, calories, etc)

- it holds music a lot (i don't have a problem transferring music even if there's waiting time)

- you get the price for what it's worth

DEAL BREAKER

- it will die on you after 4 months of use and go thru customer service (when you use it consistently)

My versa just died on me. I sent them all the videos on what's happening. They deemed that the charger was the faulty one. They're sending a replacement. Others though got a new versa replacement.

Let's see what happens.

I'm on my 3rd Fitbit and they have always been pretty good about it.  My issue is $230 and it only will last 4 months?!  Maybe I need to go with the AW afterall.

What's AW? Fitbit versa did wonders for me when it was still alive! I had it keep track of my gym exercises, sleeping pattern, water log and calories. It made me lose weight. I don't think it's bad for the price. I would have gone Apple Watch but it had so many distractions with all the apps that you can access in a phone anyway.

Unfortunately, there's that bug of it dying after just a few months. It's not just happening to me. There's a slew of posts in this forum about it. The Fitbit team seems to appease everyone complaining though with a replacement (either just the charger or the whole hardware)

If you don't find going thru customer service as hassle IF that versa breaks down, you can still give Versa a chance.

Sorry I've been bad about abbreviating Apple Watch as AW 🙂  Good to know, they's always been helpful, just wanted to be sure.  Knowing this will be great for if/when it happens. I just LOVE what Fitbit has done for me physically, mentally and totally and I don't want to lose my momentum.

I love mine, I've had it since June. I've had my Alta HR since May of last year, and my Ionic since October last year. Not one of them has a scratch on them. If you take care of your devices, they will take care of you.

I can not recomend.  Went through three and gave up.  If you do buy, get it locally so you can return or exchange quickly avoiding Fitbit's customer service and waiting weeks.

I don't understand that s 4 month limit when Fitbit has a 1 year warranty if the tracker is only designed to work for 4 months.

BTW in my family there are 2 Surge users, 3 Charge 2 users, several Charge HR users, 2 Altas, an Alta HR, along with the original flex and a flex 2.

Even after 4 years for some, they still work.

Thank you!!  Anytime I’ve had an issue they’ve always handled and my Alta and original Flex all still work.
