Recent activity not visible

Hey yall, I just bought my Versa today and so far I love it--however, my husband (who also has a versa) can't see my recent activity and neither can I. We would both like to see how many steps we take in a day and I'm not sure how to change this or if I can change it. I've updated my privacy settings so that my activity is shared with my friends but it still says "no recent activity" and it's really frustrating. Thanks in advance!

What I did was go into your settings on your Fitbit app on your phone and set the sync to all day sync. 

It burns up a bit more battery power, but it gives you your latest activities on your device.  

 

Also so there is a button that says sync now, that will also refresh your activities. 

 

Bonus, on my iPhone, when I have the Fitbit app up, you can swipe down from the top of the app and it will sync. Takes a bit of practice and works if your not using the auto sync feature.
