Hi 

 

Please can you help as this is my first Fitbit Versa and I am using Ring Doorbell.

 

The notification for when someone rings the Ring Doorbell works but not for any motion?

 

Am I doing something wrong

You are not likely doing anything wrong. That feature might not trigger a notification connection to the Versa. Depends on how the app was built.

Yes, what you did wrong is not to buy a google doorbell product. Those work just fine. 

 

Fitbit has done this on purpose and not allowing Ring Doorbell notifications. A notification is a notification. Every other app no matter what works just fine except Ring. Seriously pissed off at Google/Fitbit.

You go buy a Google Doorbell. Then it works great.

Very nice of Google/Fitbit to shaft its competition via it's own product.

The app is built like any other and will pass notifications just fine to the fitbit IF THEY ALLOW IT TO. It did work long ago but stopped shortly after Google bought Fitbit... coincidence???
