Run app under Exercise pauses during workout

Had a Fitbit charge 2 and was generally happy with it.  It did ok with my running workouts.  I just got a Versa as a gift and I am finding that during run workouts the app just randomly pauses.  I am not sure if it does this because it is having trouble syncing with my Samsung 7 phones gps, but it completely stops recording my workout.  This is disappointing since not all of the locations I run in have a GPS signal available.  Is this a known issue and if so what is the fix?  Is there another run app that would perform better on the Versa then the one it comes with?

@WIRunner23 The Running exercise has an option for autopause. So each time it thinks you have stopped, it will pause and then resume. You can turn off this option in the settings of the exercise on your Versa. Just open the exercise shortcut and tap the gear cog settings icon. Disable autopause.

Auto Pause was already off during my runs.

@WIRunner23 just to be sure toggle it ON, sync, reboot your Versa, toggle it off, sync.
