A week ago they told me they would send me a replacement and I should have it within 10 business days ... it's been 5 now and I have not gotten a tracking number or anything so far

Just curious if anyone having this issue ever got the device working without exchanging it? I just got a new Versa that is having intermittent touch screen issues out of the box. Should I bother troubleshooting with Fitbit or just return it and try again?

I would return and try again. I still haven’t had my replacement ship. I
lost count, week 3? Lol

I am having the same problem. My versa synced and then black screen of death. It won’t do anything and now my phone doesn’t recognize it. I have reinstalled the app and reset the versa. But nothing. I’ve had it 3 days.

Did you have to send yours back first? I’m being told I have to send mine back before they will issue a replacement. And I know that hasn’t always been the case.

I had to send mine back and still don’t have a replacement. I chatted with them and all they said was they updated the case for the replacement team. I think I’m going to return it after I get the replacement and just buy it from a brick and mortar place locally so if I run into any more issues I don’t have to wait as long.

I agree. I am very disappointed with the customer service I wish I hadn’t purchased the versa and had spent the extra money on an Apple Watch.

I would avoid Fitbit altogether at this point. Each of my friends who have purchased a versa are all having the same issues. I have worked with a customer service person and their supervisor without resolution. I got screwed. I can’t return to the store and Fitbit wont issue a refund. I’ve had it 4 days. $200 down the drain. Do yourself a favor and become an Apple customer.

I'm having issues with my Fitbit Versa sometimes not responding to touch for approx 4 touches, and approx the 5th touch it finally wakes up.  Other times it take 2 - 3 touches.  It rarely wakes on the first touch.

I'm not using a screen protector.

Whats going on?  Is this normal?

I had bought my versa yesterday worked fine all day then I went swimming and it went haywire. The buttons stop working. I tried everything rebooting it and every thing. It wouldn’t even let me setup alarm. I couldn’t even get out of the apps. I just returned it I was just very disappointed 😞 since I had Alta which still works I was just getting a updated one. So I think I’ll just wait

Now I have the same problem. Neither touchscreen nor swipe works at all. I've had it about a month and was working fine. Reading through all of this and the totally lame response of Fitbit means I'm going to return mine for a refund.

Fitbit's responses seem just like how the airlines treat you.

Great way to destroy customer loyalty.

Same problem. Touchscreen is frozen, there is no reaction at all. Only 5 days and now Fitbit is telling me to have the problem solved with the retailer where I bought the Fitbit Versa. What a customer service....

I had a postive experience with costumer support at the end. It took them
some 3 days to reply, but then the follow-up was quick. I was also in touch
with the on Twitter maybe that helped too. Got my fitbit replaced by
Amazon, where I got it on the first place. Fingers crossed this one works:)

My FitBit Ionic has the same frozen screen problem.  Won't Sync - NOTHING... So disappointed.

Reached out to Customer Support and have received no response.

Guess it's time to buy the Apple Watch.  Another FItBit was being considered only to find the same screen freezing issues discovered on other FitBit watches with Customer Service not responding.

I reached out to them via Twitter sending them a video of the problem and
they replied me afterwards soon. My watch has been replaced and works fine
so far, true I havent taken it for swimming yet.

Ok ... this is really “out of the box” thinking and may not even apply to any of you, but it has worked for me so I’m sharing. My hands and finger tips are always cold ... even in the summer. I’ve learned that any electronic device that is supposed to respond to finger taps and swipes, is counting on feeling the heat from your fingers. So if I am in a position where my Fitbit or iPhone or iPad are not responding to my efforts, I rub my hands together to generate some heat. It seems to work for me.
