I had this happen on occasion with my Alta, but hadn’t experienced it on the versa until this week. I am getting split sleep logs with gaps of 1 to 2 hours in between them. Today I had two logs, both with simplified graph. Even the longer log of 5+ hours was simplified. I deleted the short one and then added that time to the longer one, basically stitching them together. Then the sleep log miraculously transformed into the detailed log showing my sleep stages. Just wondering what is causing this. I tried wearing the band a little tighter last night because I had an issue with this the night before, so wearing it tighter does not seem to have remedied the problem. Any ideas out there what is causing this?

I've had the same issue, but have not tried to stitch the two together ... still, i never had the problem with the Alta so there seems to be an issue with the Versa - hope Fitbit finds a fix soon.

I’m having the same problem with my new Versa. I originally purchased the Charger 2 and did not have this problem. I exchanged the Charger 2 for the Versa a week ago and I’ve only had one sleep cycle record properly.

i've had problems with the sleep tracking not being as precise as I like since they took away the "sleep mode" after the Charge2, I think. I'm so used to having to manually edit my sleep logs, I don't even think about it anymore. I have noticed that I've had the split sleep more often with Versa. Usually, I just need to add some time at the start and end of the sleep.

It isn't just the Versa. I have had the original Fitbit and the Charge HR and now have the Fitbit Versa, and they all have done this from time to time. There is another post from the years of 2014 and 2015, where many people claimed the issue was prevalent then as well. While I love the Fitbit, as compared to two other brands I've tried, this is one area that they haven't been able to solve. Apparently there is a work around, but as with anything, when you buy a product, you expect it to work as advertised. It would be great if they could solve this. I don't want to have to manually adjust these every morning, when you expect the "Dashboard" is supposed to let you gather the info at a glance. If anyone figures this out, please share.

Can you tell me how I go about manually "stitching" them together. I can report that when I changed my clock face, the splitting started. Perhaps there is some relevance there?

@PatrickNZ when my sleep logs are incorrect, I just manually change them. When I end up with two, I either delete them both and add a new log manually or delete one of them and then adjust the other. I often find that I can recover lost sleep stage detail by doing this as well.

@PatrickNZ Unfortunately, I'm super old and couldn't tell you how to do it on a phone. If you go to the website on a puter, though, it's pretty easy.
1) On your dashboard, click on the tile, then click on see more.
2) You can log sleep off to the right.
3) Click on a specific session to see details.
4) Under the sleep stage chart, there's a pane off to the right where you can edit the sleep times or click on the trash can to delete.
Actually, looking at my phone (android), once you open a sleep session, there's a pencil to edit and an option to delete if you tap the 3 dots. Both in the upper right corner.
