My versa lite is starting me off with 100 steps before I get out of bed. Can I manually start it at zero? Or am I doing something wrong?

Hello @Hurricanetb and welcome to the Help forums. Your Versa Lite "counts" steps by sensing motion that it perceives as a step. This can occur with very restless sleeping. It cannot be reset.
There is one thing that might help this overcounting, if it applies to you. If you have your Versa Lite on your non-dominant wrist, try changing the app setting to Dominant. This changes the sensitivity of the tracker to movement. It might decrease these extra steps.
All wrist trackers have this limitation. Everyone is going to get extra steps with some activities. Likewise, steps will be missed with some activities.

I appreciate your information, as I did switch yesterday to my dominant wrist and it seems to make it worse. I think 100 steps is a little extreme for restless sleep. This morning i started off with almost three hundred before getting up. I totally understand that it is gonna count some movement throughout the day, It just seems to be counting a whole lot of movement for me not doing much.
