I've seen a lot of posts about the Versa counting thousands of steps while it's not even being worn.
I'm experiencing the opposite of this on a fairly regular basis. If I haven't been moving much for an hour, the Versa will do it's job and buzz to tell me to get stepping. So I do.
The thing is, I'll be walking for 5 or 6 minutes - when the Versa has told me, for example, I need to get 150 steps - and I'll realise I've not had the notification that I've hit the 250 for the hour.
I check the Versa and the step count has not moved at all since I started walking! Now, I can GET IT moving if I shake my wrist about like a loon for 5-10 seconds, and it will kick into life (although still not register the 5 minutes worth of steps I just did). Or I can do the Mod's favourite here on the boards and I can reset the Versa.
My question is, why should I have to do this at least once a day?
What is the point of a Fitbit that doesn't know when you're walking?
Is there a firmware fix on the way, because if I can't trust that the Versa is recording all of my steps, then it actually becomes worse than useless - since I just paid £200 for the privilidge of having a fitness tracker that doesn't track.
I'm not complaining for the sake of it here. I like Fitbit - this is the 3rd time I've upgraded myself to a newer model - and I won't be sending this one back while I can still get it going evey time I start moving, by exaggeratedly shaking my wrist ... but I didn't have this issue with the Charge 2, or the others before it.
This is something that needs fixing, and fast. It's not like 5 years ago when Fitbit was the only available option. Fitbit needs this fix more than the customers do!

For the sake of balance, I actually feel I should note that my sleep activity, number of flights of steps climbed, heart rate etc are all working fine. Battery life seems to be the 4 days, as quoted on the box, and I don't have any issues with too many steps being shown.
It's just this one problem with getting the thing to wake up when I start walking ...
