Step count inaccurate

Only had this device for two days and now rapidly loosing confidence in it, thankfully I am still within the window where I can get a full refund...

I walk 20 paces it adds 30, despite the clumsy need to add driving activity it still claimed I had done over 5000 steps, adding a 10 hour drive for most of today made things look better but does not correct the inaccuracy, changing the dominant hand has not had any effect.... very disappointed and will be looking at other options if a satisfactory solution is not offered.....

I drive to various locations during the day for my work probably spend 30 mins and move on.....

Welcome to the Fitbit Community, @SunsetRunner. I am sorry for the delayed response.

I am sorry to hear about your disappointment with your new device being inaccurate and counting steps while driving. This usually happens while driving in a car with a very stiff transmission or on bumpy roads. Thank you for sharing your feedback regarding manually logging the driving activity for the time you were in a vehicle to remove the steps from your daily total. I really appreciate your feedback and time you took to let us know your frustration since this helps us to keep improving.
