Hi, went for a walk and walked over 10,000 steps. Decided to add a walk to exercise but it deleted 7,000 steps. Under the exercise log it recorded 1.2 km of walking however it was over 5 km and gave me 0 active minutes instead of the 90 minutes that we’re originally there. Bit confused?

I gather from what you are saying that you manually added the walk in your app? If you did that for the actual time you were out walking then, yes, you will lose steps and active minutes. When you manually add an activity the app thinks you know what you did so removes what the tracker recorded and adds in what you put in manually. It no longer uses your heart rate to calculate calories burned or active minutes, but uses population averages instead. Adding activities manuallly if you were wearing the tracker at the time is not recommended as these problems occur.
