Steps not syncing in challenges.

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My dashboard doesn't match half of my challenges. I'm about 3000 behind in several.

No, it's not a time zone thing... these are challenges I do every week, this is the first time they are wrong.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app twice...cleaned cache...searched the forums..none of the helps worked. I've tried restarting my Versa.

Someone said to comment in the challenge. Nope. Tried quitting and rejoining. Nope.

Help!!!!

Hello @Umlander I hope you're doing well, it's nice to see you around the Fitbit Community.

Thank you for reporting that your Challenge leaderboard steps don't match your dashboard steps.

We've received similar reports, and have escalated the issue to our engineering team. While we don't have a timeline for resolution, we will continue to investigate these discrepancies.

We appreciate your patience.

Thanks for responding...it seems like this is an ongoing issue...not new.

It's really frustrating, especially since it worked previously. Challenges are a big part of my motivation...and why I have a Fitbit.

Saying it's escalated to the developers is great...and hope to see that statement is true.

Hello @Brian411 welcome to the Fitbit Community. It's great to see you too @Knitster58, I hope you're doing well.

Thanks for joining the conversation and reporting this issue as well. At this moment, while our team checks this issue and works on it, I would like to suggest you to check the following reasons your steps might not be updating to your challenges:

1. Your steps have fully synced to our database but you're not viewing the mobile app dashboard in Live Data Mode. (Live data mode would show the word "connected" under your tracker tile).
2. You manually logged an activity. Steps from manually logged activities do not count toward challenges; only steps recorded by your tracker or MobileTrack are counted toward challenges.
3. You used MobileRun to track GPS data with your app. Only steps recorded by a tracker or MobileTrack are counted toward challenges.
4. All challenge participants are not in the same time zone.

We also recommend waiting 15 minutes after syncing your Fitbit data to see if your challenge updates.

Thanks for your patience and understanding, if you have already checked the list above, please let us know, have a great day.

I have the same issue! One Weekend Warrior challenge shows my full steps the other is missing steps. While one starts in a different timezone I can understand different amounts but the one missing the steps is the one that starts 5 hours earlier. The one started at 7pm on Friday for Eastern timezone and has only 9,007 steps. It shows I made my step goal which is 10,000 so how could I have less steps? My other Weekend Warrior which started at 12 Midnight Eastern timezone I have 11,092 Steps. Also, I had a goal day that registered all steps for 111% complete. The point of challenges are to keep us active but if the Fitbit doesn’t track correctly what’s the point? Very annoying and disheartening!
