I’ve just taught an RPM class and switched my Versa into bike mode (GPS off) whilst doing so. Noticed I’ve logged about 4,000 steps. Surely if you switched to a specific exercise mode it will no longer count steps (unless running). It’s a new Versa and didn’t notice with previous Blaze. Seen posts on this from a few months back and wondering if Fitbit have resolved the issue
yet.

Steps will only be counted by movements of the wrist. These are some from the vibrations in or the moving of the wrist and handlebars.
I agree steps should not be counted during non step exercises. However not all agree, some want every pedal counted, some want all steps removed, like when logging driving, then some want steps recorded based on an equivalent walk.
There are suggestions for all three, so what is Fitbit to do?
