Syncing and steps accuracy issues

Dear Fitbit.....I've loved my Charge2 for two years, but the face was cracked, so I upgraded to a Versa.I so wanted to love the Versa, it has everything, exactly what I wanted and needed at the exact right price point (I ask everyone if they love their Apple Watch, and they all say "meh, it's okay" and that just doesn't inspire me to spend the big bucks). When I found Versa I was thrilled. Till I brought it home and set it up. It took half a day. With enough resets of the Versa, my phone, my wireless network, and my Fitbit Ap, I finally got it up and running. And then more problems started......it wouldn't sync (solved with plenty of Versa and phone restarts). It didn't track sleep. Until it one day, it did, it was like magic. But that day, it wouldn't track steps. Zero steps for half the day, till suddenly, there were steps. Then I did my usual 10K step walk, and it tracked 8000. So I did 100-step test around the house, and it counted 55.

Sorry Versa, you're just not ready for prime time. I found a Charge2 on-line and have ordered it (the Charge3 reviews do not impress me) and will stick with the tried and true until you figure out how to make the Versa go. I could live with the annoying syncing restarts, but you gotta count my steps right, that's just how I roll.

Let me know when you're all fixed and ready to be a real product!

Best,

MJ3

Hey @MJ3, let me give you a warm welcome to the Fitbit forums! I appreciate you've shared your feedback here. It seems that you had some inconveniences with your watch. In regards of the accuracy of your Versa, if you feel that your step count and distance are inaccurate, first make sure the wrist placement settings are correct. Next, double check that you entered your height correctly. Since we use height to estimate your walking and running stride lengths, you may want to measure and manually adjust these values if your legs are longer or shorter than average. For more information, see How do I measure and adjust stride length for my Fitbit device?

Give it a try and let me know how it goes!
