In order to receive text messages on my iPhone 6s I have to everyday turn the Bluetooth off and on. The same issue occurs with the GPS feature in exercise. For example in order to get the GPS to work, I have to turn off and on the GPS in the Walk settings and then launch the Fitbit phone app to have it sync with the Versa. This has to be done everyday! I have reached out to Fitbit support and they don’t seem to understand why! Not feeling to comfortable with that answer!

Hello @SunsetRunner thanks for joining the Fitbit Community, it's great to have you on board.
I appreciate your participation in the Forums and for sharing your experience with us. For text Notifications, at this moment I would like to ask you to refresh them by following these steps:
If this doesn't seem to work, please set up Notifications again:
Now, when it comes to connected GPS, indeed you will need to open the Fitbit app first before starting a GPS exercise from your phone. If the apps gets closed, the connection will drop. It's important for the app to be open before starting the exercise.
