Touchscreen not responding

Hello, I have an android Note 9 synced to my Fitbit Versa. I just updated the Fitbit and now no touch or scrolling will work on the screen. My physical buttons work. My heartrate monitor is working. I am just having trouble with the screen not registering any tapping.

Hello @Krazykurlz, welcome to the Community Forums!

Thanks for bringing this to my attention. If you haven't already done so, I recommend you to restart your Fitbit Versa following the next steps:

  1. For Fitbit Versa and Fitbit Ionic, press and hold the back and bottom buttons until you see the Fitbit logo on the screen. For Fitbit Versa Lite Edition and Fitbit Versa 2, hold the back button for 10 seconds.
  2. Let go of the buttons.
  3. If you still have issues with your device, turn it off and turn it back on. For more information, see How do I turn off my Fitbit device?

Keep me posted and let me know if you have any additional questions. By the way, I've moved your post to the Versa board.

Thank you for the reply! The restart did help but new problems followed. I am getting a replacement. Thank you for your help.

Hello @RicardoFitbit! I'm having the same issue as @Krazykurlz and restarting the device doesn't change anything. And it can't be turned off because since the screen isn't responding to tapping or sliding, I can't access the settings app to use the shutdown feature. What can I do next? I have my Versa for a year and a half now and this is the only time the solutions offered by the moderators on these forums don't solve the problem.

Hello, I am having the same issue. I’ve tried the restart several times with no luck, any other suggestions?

Mine is doing the same exact thing. This morning I attempted to reset using the three buttons on the Versa as the instructions on this site say to do. After that I got a red X and it says "data not cleared. Sync and try again". So, I next contacted Fitbit support and we got it working by unpairing the device on my phone and then repair it again. When you do this, it is like setting up a new device again. After the setup, the Versa was unresponsive for a little bit until I connected to Wi-Fi. Once I did that, it was acting like normal. Around lunch time today, it started acting up again. Tap the screen, nothing would come one. When it did finally come on, the swiping through the screens did not work. Finally, it went back to the red X error mentioned above, and I had to start this whole process over again in order to get it to work.
