Tracking Water

With all these updates and apps that are directly on watch, is there the ability to track water intake on watch, like other devices, like the Samsung gear fit 2? If it is a "fitness" watch, and hands-free, where we will be able to pay from watch and listen to music, why not track water? Hopefully this is available.

As the Feature Suggestion says, this has been released via Third-party apps which means in the app gallery for Ionic/Versa you will find some that will let you track your water intake.

I would be excited to see such a feature available for the versa, especially with the apparent wealth of upgrades on the way.

Do third party apps sync with the Fitbit app and/or the Fitbit dashboard?

I can’t say for all of them but one I looked at does, so it’d just be a case of checking in the description

The only problem with the third party apps is they don’t sync with the Fitbit app, you can only record the water on your watch then have to re-record on the phone app. I keep hoping for it will come out with a water tracking app for the watch that will sync with the phone app!

I currently use Ionic Water by Brian Ouellette and it is definitely syncing with the Fitbit app and dashboard. I'm not sure however if it is available on Versa.

Hidrate and Water Logged should do the same and be available on Versa.

I agree this should be available directly on the Fitbit. To make the smart watch/fitness tracker completely versatile would be nice to tap watch face, slide to app click in "water" then tap (have an amount you can set via the Fitbit app that is your normal water bottle or default 8oz) add bottle. The idea of something so basic to fitness and health and have to add a 3rd party app is kinda sad.

I think the added it the last firmware update, but then I enter the water on my watch, it dont sink to my app on my phone it really pushing me off.

I'm having the same issue. I was told it's my device Galaxy Note 8 issue. That it hasnt been tested fully with the versa so it probably isnt working correctly because of it.

Strange because everything else works great on syncing from my watch to my app on my phone. Everytime I log water from my watch it doesnt sync to my app.

@Monstersdontsl  I don't think it's your phone because lots of us have the same problem.  It doesn't work for me and I have a fully compatible phone.  It works for some.  I'm beginning to wonder if its working for everyone who is Apple and not for those with Android (I'm Android).  I don't know this to be true but I've read a lot of postings with people saying that logging from the watch within the Today screen isn't syncing with their Fitbit app on their phones.

First person I contacted with fitbit was trying to help me and was doing different test. After a good 45 mins, the agent stopped replying. Had to start all over with a new agent and they just blamed my phone.

When I contacted fitbit about this they said I am the first one they have heard about this from. They didn't give me a solution just that it's my phone. I think it's a big from the update.

The new options that came with the update I am able to log my weight works fine and will show on my app, but it's only the water issue. Guess I'll wait and see if it clears up. Otherwise I dont know what to do.

Thanks for letting me know. I have a Samsung Galaxy 9+. Hopefully they can fix it in the next update.

Mine is now working. I uninstalled the fitbit app from my phone and reinstalled it, my water log is now working.

@Monstersdontsl  I was resistant to deleting the app and reinstalling.  Lazy I guess.  But I did delete today and, violà, now it works!  Yea.  Thanks for the tip.
