My versa lite fitbit isn't getting texts or phonecalls displaying anymore.  It was working last night, it is not today.  I've tried powering down my phone and fitbit lite.  I've tried re-pairing it as well.

Good. Because you lost your original set up for notifications, you need to revisit Notifications as shown in the first post and also check App Notifications, to make sure each one is set how you want it.

Did you by any chance accidentally disable notifications

In the phone Fitbit App

Click on profile photo [top left]

Device photo [middle left]

Notifications

At the top there are 3 dots

which allow you to disable notifications.

Check it doesn't say enable notifications, if it does then enable them.

Could it possibly be still in sleep or do not disturb mode?

Pull down from the very top of the watch Shows all caught up and again.

Click on the 2 white bars and check the top 2 icons are greyed out.

Is your watch synced?

In the phone Fitbit App

Click on profile photo [top left]

Device photo [middle left]

Sync -

See when last synced

Try refresh by touching circle

it should say "a moment ago"

Ok I did that, I clicked on the gray circle arrow. It went around and stopped after a couple seconds. It says says 1 min ago. Now it is doing it again, and say a moment ago.

Thanks, that means your watch is syncing fine and if you have turned on Notifications and are not getting them its probably best to contact Fitbit Support directly. They may be able to help you.

You have done all the troubleshooting well.
