My versa isn't vibrating when I'm getting calls and text messages. I've restarted the Bluetooth, checked on the app and the versa to make sure they're on and restarted my versa and still nothing, can anyone help?
Thanks

Hello @bannefin and @Nataliecousins, thanks for joining the Fitbit Community, it's great to have you on board.
I appreciate you have brought this to my attention and for letting me know the troubleshooting steps you've tried in hopes to resolve this issue. Notifications skip or stop occasionally for several reasons that don't suggest a problem with your device or the Fitbit app, which is why I would like to ask you to check the following:
- Your phone was too far away. It must be within 30 feet of your Fitbit device to transmit the notification.
- For texts, you have the conversation open on your phone. Your Fitbit device shows new texts you haven't already read.
- You changed a related setting on your phone, such as turning on Do Not Disturb, Quiet hours, or Driving mode. To double check all requirements, see How do I get notifications from my phone on my Fitbit device?
- You're using another Bluetooth product. If you have Bluetooth products like speakers, headsets, or car stereos paired to your phone along with your Fitbit device, you may have trouble using more than one at the same time. For example, turning on your speaker might stop your phone from sending a notification or syncing. For more information, see Is the Fitbit app interfering with other Bluetooth devices?
- The connection between your phone and Fitbit device is unstable. Bluetooth signals are susceptible to disconnecting or dropping occasionally. If you have an Android phone, check the following:
- Make sure Enable Notification Widget is on. You can find this with the other notification settings in the Fitbit app.
- Make sure Always Connected is on. This improves your Bluetooth connection but also drains your Fitbit device's battery more quickly. Turn it off and on as you prefer.
- Make sure the Fitbit app is allowed to run in the background on your phone. For more information, see Why is the Fitbit app sending a notification to my Android phone?
- The app that should send the notification can't do so. Check all the phone and Fitbit app requirements in How do I get notifications from my phone on my Fitbit device?
- Your device was syncing. Syncing can sometimes prevent or delay a notification.
- You just updated the Fitbit app. Restart your phone and try setting up notifications again.
- Device lock is active on your Fitbit watch and you haven't recently entered your PIN. Tap your watch screen to see if the device lock prompt appears. If it does, enter your PIN.
If you've reviewed the list above and can't get notifications to work, please try the following:
- Force-quit the Fitbit app, then open it again and sync your tracker.
- Restart the Bluetooth on your phone once again.
- Restart your device.
- Refresh Notifications:
- From the Fitbit app dashboard, tap the Account icon
- Tap Notifications.
- Turn off all notifications
- Restart your phone.
- Open the Fitbit app and turn notifications back on.
- Set up Notifications again:
- Tell your phone to "forget" your device, removing the connection between the phone and the Fitbit device.
- On your phone, go to Settings > Bluetooth and find your Fitbit device in the list.
- Find an option to forget the device.
- Open the Fitbit app and set up notifications again.
- Tell your phone to "forget" your device, removing the connection between the phone and the Fitbit device.
Please give these steps a try and keep me posted in case you need anything else.

In reference to being within 30ft of phone to receive text messages, if my phone isn't right next to me, I don't get any messages. Hopefully this can be fixed. I just got my Versa as a gift and am really excited as this is my first smart watch; however, the main reason why it was purchased was to receive notifications without having my phone on me at all times. Thank you for any suggestions!

I just received my Versa Lite (May 30, 2019) and I am not getting any call or text notifications and I have the phone right next to me Galaxy S9+. I've look at your suggestions and in the notifications app there is nothing that speaks to Enable Notifications Widget as you suggested.
- Make sure Enable Notification Widget is on. You can find this with the other notification settings in the Fitbit app.
I also went to the set up notifications as suggested and again what is suggested does not appears in the notification app
STEP 2. SET UP NOTIFICATIONS IN THE FITBIT APP
Set up the notifications you want to receive on your wrist. Make sure your Fitbit device is nearby.
- From the Fitbit app dashboard, tap the account icon (
) > your device image.
- Tap Notifications.
- Choose the types of notifications you want to receive and the app you use most for each category. For example, if you want to receive text messages from WhatsApp rather than Messages, change the Text messaging (SMS) app setting. You can choose 1 app per category. The most common apps for these features are:
- Phone app—Dialer
- Text messaging (SMS) app—Messages
- Calendar app—Calendar
- Email—Email
this is what is shown in my notifications fitbit app

I am having the same problem with my Samsung S9 and walked through all of the suggested steps including restarting all apps phone Etc. And still I do not get notifications on text messages emails or other items picked. I guess it really doesn't matter because if my phone has to be within 30 meters of me I may just as well check everything on my phone. This too is my first smart watch and I have to say that this is a very disappointing poorly functioning part of the Fitbit app.

I’ve tried all of the aforementioned “fixes” - none work. Everything was working fine and then boom - nothing. I’ve restarted the Fitbit (multiple times), forgotten the device on my phone, turned off notifications/restarted phone, uninstalled the Fitbit app... nothing works. If I press the top right button, my notifications are there but it doesn’t vibrate or pop up on the screen. I’ve had the Versa for a year with no major issues. Help!

The same thing happened to mine yesterday. After spending an hour on the phone with customer service doing all of those things which I and you have done prior to the conversation, it still didn’t work. They put me on hold and came back and said that it was a known problem with the Versa and they were working on it. I really wondered why they didn’t tell me this or know this before the hour. At first I was told my phone was not compatible. (I have an iPhone X and it is definitely on the list of phones that are compatible). I was also told it might be the motor. Then all of a sudden it was this known problem. However it is working perfectly fine today. I am very skeptical that all will continue to be ok. Since my Versa is less than 3 months old I will continue to follow up with them should I have any further problems. I just don’t understand their customer service. If they have a “known problem” all of their representatives should be aware of it as not to waste everyone’s time.

I’ve tried everything that’s recommended and I am still unable to get my Fitbit to vibrate when I receive notifications.

I have tried everything Fitbit has posted to get my phone to receive notifications and still not receiving text notifications, email notifications, snapchat notifications, or phone calls. I rely heavily on this part of my fitbit and it has worked in almost two weeks. I am so annoyed that I am very close to finding a new tracker that's not fitbit. I have been a loyal customer since 2015 and really like my fitbit but if it's not doing what I paid for why keep it.
What can you do to fix this problem?
