I have had several fitbits. First the Flex, then Charge 2 and I just purchased the Versa. I really liked my Charge 2, but 2 months after I bought it the notifications just stopped working. I tried all the suggested fixes, but no success. I purchased the Versa hoping the new design and new features would mean it would work with my phone. Oh no...couldnt get it to work so I called support. The nice representative tried everything only to come back and tell me there is a known issue with receiving texts. I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 8. They have known since 12/12/18 and are working on it, but have no estimated resolution date. Now, because there is no guarantee, I have to return my Versa before the return window expires. I'm stuck paying the restocking fee to return their crappy product. Completely terrible they would put out new products when they still haven't fixed the old ones. I still can't receive text notifications on my Charge 2. Super disappointed no one lets you know of these "known issues" before purchasing. Looks like I am going with a different fitness device company all together.

I have problems with notifications where it will work and then later it will stop working. It is not consistent. Then if I click on notifications, it will get reactivated and work for a few hours. What is the issue?

Called fitbit and they fixed the issue. You have to go to the text app on the phone and turn on preview under text notifications... wooo hoooo. It's working perfectly!!!!!!

Hello @BPS725, have a warm welcome to the Fitbit Community. It's nice to see you around too @cheaplikeafox and @MommyOf4Gyrls, I hope you're doing well.
@MommyOf4Gyrls, I'm sorry to hear you've returned your Versa, I sincerely apologize for the inconveniences you've experienced with it.
@BPS725, thanks for joining the conversation and letting us know your Versa is now working properly after troubleshooting with our Support Team, I'm very glad.
@cheaplikeafox, judging by the information you've provided, it seems your Versa is receiving intermittent Notifications, have you checked my previous post with recommendations about this situation? Have you tried them all? Have you also updated the firmware on your Versa lately? This information will be very helpful for us to determine what we should do next.
Thanks for your patience and understanding, we'll be waiting to hear from you.

@MarcoGFitbit@yes i have the latest firmware and app. I think it has to do with the aggressive power management of my huawei phone. I have it set up so that there are no restrictions to the battery management but that doesn't help. I will get notifications for a few hours and then they will stop. I noticed that if I have the app open running in the background, then the notifications will continue to work. If I close my Fitbit app, then it will stop working in a few hours. One time I did notice that a box I had checked on for notifications became unchecked which was odd but that only happened on. Is there a way Fitbit can contact Huawei about it?

Hello @cheaplikeafox, thanks for coming back with more details about this situation, I hope you're doing well.
At this moment, if you stop receiving Notifications when you force-close the Fitbit app on your phone, please make sure "All-day Sync" and "Always Connected" are enabled in the Fitbit app when you tap on Account > Versa. This will make the app establish a Bluetooth connection between the watch and the phone so it can sync in the background, improving their connection.
I hope this can be helpful, give it a try and let us know the outcome.
