I recently bought a preowned fitbit versa 1 from someone in a different city but the person that owned it before didn't reset it to factory settings. She told me the password and I tried it a few times but it didn't work and now it says unlock with your phone and the phone that it is set to is too far away so I cannot go there to unlock it with her phone and I need to reset it to factory settings but I do not know how without unlocking it with the pre owners phone. I also cannot connect it to my phone as it is still connected to the pre owners phone. Is there another way?

Thanks for bringing this to our attention and for the details that were shared in your post, I understand how frustrating this situation can be for you. In this case, the only way to unlock the Fitbit Versa will be with the mobile device of the person from whom you've bought the device. I'd recommend to contact this person because a factory reset procedure will not unlock the device for you to initiate the setup process in your Fitbit account.
