My Android did a system update 2 days ago and now my Versa 2 doesnt get messages. Phone calles still show up, but no messages. I updated my fitbit and restarted my watch as well and nothing. Please help

My android did a system's update 2 days ago. After the update my Versa 2 stopped receiving text messages. I updated my fitbit software and restarted my watch and nothing seems to help.

This happened to me too. Super frustrating. I have a Samsung galaxy 10 plus and the versa lite. I got the watch and just started using it 3 days again The watch wouldnt recieve text for the first day...then yesterday ot randomly would recieve text. Woke up today and doesnt recieve texts again but recieved calls. I've restarted everything, connected and unconnected several times. Nothing I do has worked!

I have the Galaxy s10+ and the Fitbit versa lite. I have restarted both devices. Turned bluetooth off and on... and unpaired my versa and started over completely. Nothing works. It was working fine until the galaxy update a couple days ago.

My issue is slightly different because my phone didnt get that update. It just randomly stopped working. It shoes my last update was January 10th and that I have no new updates at this time. Makes me wonder if it isnt samsung but the fitbit

I did some more research on another blog and saw something about changing the message app. They said that they had to use the Google Message App. I changed to that and my notifications have started to work and have been working fine so far. I do think the issue is with that latest android update. I hate having to change the messaging app cause it is a little different than what I'm use to...so I'm hoping Fitbit figures out something to get the default messaging App back working.

I switched to Google messages and it fixed the problem. Thanks for suggesting that!!

I also switched to google messages and it fixed the problem. Sigh....its going to take a long time to get used to a different message app after all this time!!
