I had the update alert on my app this morning and it wouldn’t sync until I updated it which I did eventually after many restarts of fitbit app and phone it updated. When it updated it got stuck on home screen and when I scrolled left right up or down the calculator appeared so then I couldn’t even put in the four digit reset code. I looked up how to factory reset and as I couldn’t access any other screen other than the calculator I had to do the three button reset. I did this and then it suddenly turned off and now will not turn back on despite the fact that I know battery is at 99%. Please can someone help. It is out of warranty btw.
Same issue with factory issue! i accidentally hit the factory reset button on Sunday & watch does not work! I went through the chat room to get a service tech & spent 3 hours on line & still nothing! I was told, we had to re-install all software but after 3 hrs, was told, watch was no good! I was told, the factory reset button is only a last resort. i said, it was by accident. I said back, if you don't want a user to use it then don't have it available.
After 3 hours of frustration, i said, the watch was not even 6 months old! I got it for an Xmas gift last year. i was told, i qualify for a replacement. i said, should i mail back my watch for you to find the issue, was told, no. This tells me, Fitbit is aware of an issue with the factory reset & will not admit to it. Easier to replace than admit there is a flaw in their hardware or software design.
My suggestion is to keep complaining because my guess, we are not the only people having the same issue. Good Luck!
