Hi, I have just received a versa 2 as a christmas gift. I'd like to know some very basic questions about it as I'm totally new here. I run and swim laps everyday and work outdoors on property so would be very interested in my exercise statistics. Will the Versa 2 calculate my distance for walking, running and swimming without me needing my phone? ie. I like to run without a phone so what statistics can I obtain from wearing the watch without my phone with me? Thank you!

How do I track my workouts with my Fitbit device? 

As for walking and running distances, if you carry your phone, Versa 2 can connect to phone's GPS for distance and route.

If you do not connect to phone's GPS, it will estimate your distance by multiplying the number of steps times your stride length.
