Versa 2 firmware update have not been successful

Trying to update firmware on Versa 2. Have not been successful at all. Constantly get the red X and also red X with data not cleared. This has been happening since Monday (1/5/26). I’ve tried everything to fix it even reading suggestions from years ago. Can someone please help me!  Thanks!

Thank you for taking the time to share with me the information regarding this difficulty that you are experiencing with Versa 2. Thank you for trying to fix it on your own. 

I'd suggest try the following steps:

1. Sync the device in the Fitbit app.

  • From the Today tab in the Fitbit app, tap Devices.
  • Chooose the Versa 4.
  • Tap Sync Now.

2. If Sync Now doesn't show an update banner:

  • Tap Devices icon.
  • Choose the Versa 4. 
  • Choose Gallery, (the app should show a pop up to install the missing apps and recover the device.

Thanks for responding. Why should I choose Versa 5 when I have a versa 2?

Same problem here! Doesn't show up on my Versa 2 device nor the app. I've restarted it and even tightened the strap! Looked at my settings and have no idea! Choosing Versa 4 as Fitbit Moderator suggests makes no sense to me. Hope we get an answer!
