Versa 2 Overcounting Steps

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I got a Versa 2 for Christmas. The thing I have noticed is that it grossly overcounts steps. I have tried some things I have read like switching to dominant hand in settings (while still wearing it on the nondominant hand) as well as constantly restarting it. I think it is overcounting at a rate of almost 2 to 1.

Are there any real solutions to this issue aside from taking it back?

It has nice features, but the whole "step counting" is the bread and butter. If that doesn't work, I might as well go back to a Garmin, which have always been great for me.

I have read other posts from people who have said that changing your stride length helps also.  Someone in another board posted this website to calculate your stride length, and then you can manually go into advanced settings and change it.  I haven’t tried that yet, but will!

HAVE YOU GOTTEN ANY RESOLVE WITH THIS?  I JUST GOT MINE FOR CHRISTMAS, AND WHILE I'M DRIVING IT WILL REGISTER HUNDREDS OF STEPS, I HAVE A LONG COMMUTE.  ONE OF THE MAIN THINGS I WANTED IT FOR WAS TO TRACK MY STEPS AND HOLD ME ACCCOUNTABLE TO DO BETTER EACH DAY.  APPARENTLY, I ALSO WALK WHILE I SLEEP LOL
