Versa 2 Run mode

When in Run mode, the screen goes blank (or dims severely) after a few seconds.  It lights up (again for a few seconds) when I push the left button.  How can I ensure the screen stays visible, so that I can easily see how I'm going and, for example, know when to pick up or slow down my speed at pre-specified times?  I have Always-On Display set in Settings, but it seems this only applies to the clock-face.

Any help much appreciated.

In Exercise App, when you get to Run, before you tap "Start", tap the Gear icon at top right for run settings; scroll down to "Always-on Screen".

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.
