Versa 2 battery draining and screen swiping issues

Versa 2 barely makes it 24 hours. It will not swipe so I only have the initial display screen,  I have the latest firmware update, all day syncing is on, available apps are installed but not working/available since the bloody screen won't swipe. This is my third fitbit (Alta, Charge 3, Versa 2) none of them have worked beyond their warranty, fortunately. I have tried shutting it off and re-starting it several times. The ONLY time I get anything other than the initial display is when the battery is at 3-7%. When it's fully charged, everything is there until it syncs. Boom, all gone, no swiping. Maybe it is time for an apple watch. Please help if possible.

Hi @joy144, due to the recent events, I apologize for the delayed response. However, it's great to see you in our Fitbit Community.

I'm sorry to hear about the battery draining and screen swiping issues that your Versa 2 is experiencing. I totally understand how you feel about this and I appreciate the time spent trying to get this issue resolved.

I'd like you to try a factory reset. To do so on your device, follow the steps below:

  1. Hold the back button for about 8 seconds.
  2. When the Fitbit logo disappears:
  • Release the button briefly (for less than 2 seconds).
  • Hold the button again until they feel a second, longer vibration, which indicates they initiated the factory reset.

After this, try the tips listed in this help article in order to improve the battery life of your Versa 2.

Keep me posted on the outcome.

Well, it worked initially…swiping at least, but when I synched the Versa 2, with my phone it went dead again…just shows the initial watch face. So, I did it again but the fitbit logo flashes (with no vibration) off and on every 8-10 seconds.

When I got the Versa 2, I followed the instructions for shutting everything down that would drain the battery, so all I have on my phone is floors, steps, heart rate and sleep which reflects what is on the Fitbit. I have not been able to find a way to “unearth” all the other apps and maybe that is why I can’t get them. I am thinking I might delete the mobile app and reinstall it. What do you think?

Thanks in advance, Lea
