Versa 2 battery draining issue

Okay I was trying to get Fitbit One More Chance this week my Versa Lite suddenly stopped keeping a charge after a software update.  I've only had the Fitbit for less than 2 years but of course the warranty had expired and it's supposed to last much longer than it did. I love Fitbit so I tried to give it another chance and went and bought a versa 2 today and now I keep getting the same message my old Fitbit was doing which is saying to 'download the app to use the device'  however I have already had the app and I already uninstalled it and reinstalled it and I still can't get to my phone and it's brand new out the box. I'm so frustrated I'm just going to take it back to the store tomorrow and try different brand all together.

@Tassia27 You have to go in the app and add a new device. Have you tried that?

Yes I done that already and it did not work
