of course they did, its always the updates. They bricked my new versa 2 fall of 2019 because of an update. Happened to hundreds if not thousands of people. I just updated the version from 2-3 months ago and days later they sent another. My battery drains fast now since I did the update. Go to the app store reviews and at the newest reviews and versions, always lots of people with syncing or brick issues. Never update software as soon as it pops up, never auto update.
It's the software updates, I don't use always on or o2. I intentionally delay updates about 3 months because there is always syncing and bricking issues when they send updates since fall of 2019. After being a customer for almost 7 years this ruined a 4-5 month old versa 2 and I had to get a replacement. Its very common, check the play store reviews. They know all about it and don't fix antyhing.

Along with the issue of not syncing, the battery drain is shocking now.
has to be charged daily and it’s not even connected to my phone

I have all of those battery saving measures in place.
The battery draining only became an issue after most recent update.
Considering it hasn’t been able to pair to my phone since last update, and therefore isn’t getting any notifications or texts from my phone, you’d think the battery would be lasting longer

While I very much appreciate you trying to help, considering the hundreds of negative posts on this forum and on the fit bit app page, I am 100% positive the recent battery, and pairing, issue is due to the latest update, not my phone or my Fitbit device.
So the only way I can see it can be fixed is if the Fitbit tech geniuses fix the issues the latest update has caused for everyone
