Versa 2 clock face changed on its own

I have been using the same watch face for quite a long while and I did an update recently and now my watch face has defaulted to some generic face that I do not like.  My old watch face will appear if I push the side button.  If I go into settings the old watch face is still selected.

Please advise

Hi there, @JenT16. Welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for the details provided in your post about the inconvenience with your Versa 2.

Please check if your Versa 2 is not set on "Always-On" as this feature will only show you the time on the main screen all the time, unless you press the button of your watch to see other features and stats. If Always-On is enable, to exit this mode, turn your wrist toward you, press the button, or double-tap the display. For more information, see How do I see the time on my Fitbit device?

If the above doesn't describe your issue, please restart your Fitbit device as suggested here How do I restart my Fitbit device? If the restart doesn't work try to change your clock face. If this fixes the issue, you can change your clock face back to the original clock face.

Hope that helps.
