Versa 2 left button not functioning

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I have had my fitbit versa 2 for about 5 months. I have used it to track my running and walking. The left button is no longer working. I have tried to reset it without success. I have also ensured it was dry using compressed air. I am not sure what to do next. It continues to synch, but it is stuck on a screen I cannot use. Please, help. Thanks

Hi @JayAndy24, due to the recent events, I apologize for the delayed response. However, let me welcome you to our Fitbit Community.

I'd like to follow up and help you with your Fitbit Versa 2 since the left button stopped working. By the way, thank you for troubleshooting this issue before contacting our forums.

If you haven't done so, I'd like you to try one more workaround that has been helpful for this type of issues. Please try using a toothpick around the button in order to remove any dust or moisture that may be affecting the functionality of the button and let us know if the button starts working again.

Looking forward to your response.

Sorry the reply took so long, but that did not work. I tried that a few days ago. Now the screen has gone totally green and nothing is working. Any ideas?

Hi @JayAndy24, thank you for getting back and trying the steps shared above. I'd like you to try one more workaround, which has been helpful for this type of issues.

Please try a factory reset. To do so on your device, follow the steps below:

  1. Hold the back button for about 8 seconds.
  2. When the Fitbit logo disappears:
  • Release the button briefly (for less than 2 seconds).
  • Hold the button again until they feel a second, longer vibration, which indicates they initiated the factory reset.

After this, set up your watch from scratch and see if the issues get fixed.
