For the third night in a row my versa is not tracking my sleep stages or heart rate at all. This is very abnormal, I don’t know if there has been an update I downloaded that has made it not work any more. I have made sure It is resting properly on my wrist and is tight enough, and have restarted the watch and it still will only do simple sleep. What is going on??

This is happening to me too. For the last five days.
The message in the fitbit app is
"We couldn't generate sleep stages for this sleep. Please try again tomorrow".
I made sure my fitbit app was using the latest version. Today I checked my firmware version. It is up to date, but I dont know when it updated the firmware. This version was released in May, but they were rolling out the update in waves. I suspect the recent update is the culprit. I dont know how to find out.

Yep additionally I’m noticing now that the simple sleep is clocking my start sleep and/or end sleep times off by 1-2 hours, so it has become almost useless for me

It’s happening to me. It’s been one week that my versa stopped tracking my sleep.

Yesterday I reset my versa and last night still no sleep cycles.
I'm not sure how to get the attention of fitbit support. Do they monitor the threads here?

I uninstalled and reinstalled the fitbit app. Still no love, and no sleep stages for a full week now.
How can we send an email directly to customer support? No one seems to be monitoring g this forum.

I found out that my versa 2 was no longer monitoring my heart rate. (perhaps the latest firmware update changed it. I certainly did not)
I re-enabled it on the watch by:
- swiping right from the watch face until the settings icon was visible
- select settings
- scroll down to Heart Rate
- enable heart rate data features.
...... we'll see if that fixes the sleep stages problem tomorrow.

That did the trick. Versa 2 had disabled heart monitoring (I suspect on most recent firmware update). I found the setting and turned it back on. Now getting sleep stages again.

I noticed the exact same problem where it wasn’t tracking my sleep and then I noticed at work it wasn’t displaying my heart rate. I thought it was just temporary but didn’t think anything of it. Now it hasn’t tracked my sleep again. Do you think actually restarting your watch helped or do you think it was just the heart rate monitoring was off? I also had to unselect and reselect my heart rate settings like you said below and now it seems to be monitoring again. I just hope it also helps start tracking my sleep again!

I think it was just that the heart monitoring had been turned off (probably when it updated to the new firmware). Everything is working fine now.

Mine stopped tracking my sleep 2 days ago. Have to admit I’m not impressed with the Product, which turns out to be an expensive piece of crap. Can’t seem to get ahold of support, and it’s too late to return for a credit.

The previous comment said to check if the heart rate monitor is off! Turns out that’s what happened to me too during the update? Annoying either way.
I had to go to settings and heart rate data features on the versa device itself and even though it was still set to “on”, I noticed that the green light sensors on the back of the watch were not on. I switched it to off by tapping once then tapped it to on again. It seemed to do the trick for me and it’s monitoring my sleep again! Good luck!
