Versa 2 not working properly

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My V2, where to start, side Button not working, not syncing with phone, so no updates or reminders coming through for low battery etc. And has been jumping from 2,000 steps to over 20,000 in less than an hour🙄😬Tbh I have had three fitbits and this is the worst.

Hi there, @KJB68. Welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for the details provided in your post about the issues you're having with your Versa 2. I understand how you must be feeling.

Regarding the side button not working, please try to remove dust or dirt by gently using a toothpick around the button. If this does not improve the button performance, you can try to clear debris using canned air, just hold the tracker at arm's length and spray once to loosen any dirt or dust that may have accumulated around the button. Then, please try restarting your Versa 2 by following these steps

As for the notifications not coming through and the extra steps, by any chance are you an Android user who also has MobileTrack linked to your Fitbit account? If so, please know that Android users you can't use MobileTrack in addition to a Fitbit device. For more information about MobileTrack, see How do I use Fitbit MobileTrack?

If you have MobileTrack linked to your Fitbit account you'll need to remove it in order to set up the Fitbit device and start receiving notifications again. For instructions, see How do I set up my Fitbit device?

Now, regarding the extra steps, I've seen many users (including myself) who had have this issue and at the end we realize that MobileTrack was the one adding steps. Mobiletrack maybe? Low-power step sensors inside your phone track your steps and send the data to the Fitbit app. We recommend using MobileTrack if you forget your Fitbit device at home. Nevertheless, it would worth the try to double check this. To do so, go to your Fitbit account, tap the Today tab > your profile picture > MobileTrack.

Know that you can negate the extra steps in the Fitbit app. For more information, see: How do I add, edit, or delete Fitbit data and activities?

Hope that helps.

It seems this just started happening recently. My O2 is not displaying and my heart rate comes and goes. I'm not sure if my sleep will be tracked at all either.

Also, the battery seems to be draining extremely quickly. I'd only have to charge once every couple of days, now when I wake up the battery is already halfway drained. What the heck is going on???

Hi MarreFitbit,

Thank you for your advice.

I had tried the dry air etc for side button, but this has solved nothing, the button pushes in and out but does not reset etc.

My watch screen is now going g between Bluetooth help and Spotify and the screen is not changing with me trying to tap or slide it.

As for being linked to mobile data on my phone that has been turned off since having fitbits as I am fully aware of the discrepancy connection tion between android and fitbit.

I am so disappointed with versa 2 and I wouldn't recommend and now considering a different make of tracking watch...
