Versa 2 notifications issue

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Hi there,

My Versa 2 doesn't receive notifications from my phone. I have a Poco X3 Pro with Android 11. I have followed all the instructions in this forum: notification permission, battery with no restrictions... When I unlink my Versa from the Fitbit APP, and link again, it starts working perfectly and doesn't show any error. But some hours later it stops working again, then go to notifications in my Fitbit app and it shows the red error.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi @egutierrez  - look into battery saving again and make sure Bluetooth is not being saved as well.

Hi, thanks for your quick reply. I did, lots of time. Yesterday was working the whole day, but today it goes again with the red notification error. No battery restrictions for Fitbit APP. I guess could be a MIUI issue??

@egutierrez  - the only other thing is to reboot your phone.

A good test is to logout and login to the Fitbit App. Go to the home screen without closing the App.

A sync popup should appear click on it and that pairs and links.

You could always try deleting the Bluetooth entry and logout / login to ensure its refreshed.

You could try the SimpleCheckUp app on the watch because it will tell you when you last synced and more importantly if it can find the phone.

Hi, thanks again. I've tried everything you said. I rebooted my phone. Then I unlinked from Fitbit APP and BT and login, rebooted again and same issue. I've tried also your app SimpleCheckUp and everything seems to be OK: Last sync 1min, found phone in 1sec.

@egutierrez  - good job. Now you have an established start point, next time you detect an issue, use SimlpeCheckUp to see when it last synced and more importantly that it can't connect.

Find what works or is causing the problem on the phone

Use SimlpeCheckUp to see when it can finally connect [without worrying about the sync].

You must exit and restart SimlpeCheckUp if it fails to connect for each test, so that it can succeed. [Once a connection test has failed it will not normally succeed if not restarted, unless it was already running before the connection failure occurred].

Sorry, maybe I didn't explain. I meant that the problem is not solved. I followed your steps but I still don't receive notifications. But your APP passed all checks. So, according to SimpleCheckUp, everything is OK, but is not. I don't know what else I need to check. The strange thing is that it works for some hours just when I unlink/link my Versa from Fitbit.

@egutierrez- At least you know it's not a connection problem.

Probably best to contact Fitbit Support directly as it may be special to that phone.

Also reachable via the Fitbit App, click profile photo, Help & Support, Contact Customer Support.

1. Open your app and go to your Today page.

2. Click your profile pic in the top left.

3. Click on your device.

4. Under "General" click Notifications.

5. Check your call, text, calendar, and email settings to make sure they're correct.

6. Click App Notifications and make sure everything is checked that you are supposed to get notifications for.

This fixed it for me after HOURS of turning my phone off and on, deleting my Fitbit app and redownloading it multiple times, and restarting my Fitbit repeatedly, all in various orders.

Hope that helps ♡♡

Hi @haircuttergirl , I did, thousand times, but same result. Call notifications is the only one that work, but messages, calendar, etc, don't. I contacted Fitbit Support as @Guy_ told me, and they said what I guessed: some Xiaomi devices have problems with notifications, and they're working on it in a new update. So I guess I need to wait. Thanks to all.
