After updating to the latest firmware for my Versa2 the pulse sensor is no longer working. I can also on here see that many have experienced similar and worse problems, some even totally bricking their Versa.
I have tried the recommended procedure to turn off the pulse metering, sync, turn it on, sync, then restart the versa2. The pulse sensor turns on and gives a pulse for a few minutes, then the indicated pulse freezes and after another few minutes the number disappears. Even did a factory reset to no avail. NB this is a factory replacement for my previously failed Versa2. It started with a few green lines over the display, poor battery life, then overheating, eventually the whole display fell out…
While I like the product design, battery life, functionality, I find the quality disappointing.
Time to try another brand after nearly 10 years of Fitbit ownership…

Just 2 more observation that possibly someone can find helpful...
1. The pulse meter stopped working after the firmware update: 35.72.1.23
2. The green leds for pulse metering on the Versa2 bottom (toward s skin) is completely off, no light.
