Versa 2 refurbished device for replacement

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I have a versa2 purchased in January.  It won't swipe even after holding button down till logo appears, have literally tried 20 times a day.  Was told I couldn't have a new replacement, but a refurbished one.  I find that upsetting, I bought the product new, should be replaced, even bought the protection plan. Anyone else have this problem?

Hi @lisa1963  the information on warranty can be found here - click - and it mentions the possibility of receiving a refurbished unit for replacement. The warranty period will continue and last the same as from your purchase date of the original Versa 2. This has been the way Fitbit has their return policy for as long as I've been on the forums.

Thank you, should have read the fine print because I FINALLY got my replacement and now it won't hold a charge for more than a few hours.  Not happy with this product. Should have bought a smart watch.

Now what?

Get with support and let them know. The Versa is a smartwatch.

I have the same problem with my versa 2 suddenly turned yellow and showing all sorts of color combination very weird. I tried reset but no luck and finally they sent me a replacement link. I had few questions so I asked them and they are saying I'll be getting refurbished watch what rubbish is this. If the device is faulty it's Fitbit responsibility to send a new device rather than refurbished one. I'm highly disappointed and never expected this and especially the customer support is more of a robot same response every time.

Hi 🙋‍:female_sign:

I think a lot of us understand about the warranty.  But it is frustrating to spend money on a product and have it stop working within a couple of months.  I bought my Versa on 12/24/20.  It was not delivered until mid Jan 2021.  So for $170 dollars I have had to “factory reset” it twice and now the third time it does not respond at all.  I am in the process of sending it back to get a replacement, and understand that I might get a replacement that has been refurbished (not thrilled).  But to have a product break so quickly is a little disheartening.

Thanks for listening
