Versa 2 screen went blank

4 night ago I put my Versa 2 on charge (fitbit charger) and when I woke up the screen was black and hasn't turned on since. I thought I didn't sit it properly on the charger, still didn't turn on. However there is a green light kit on the bottom AND the app shows I have 68% battery life. I've tried everything I could find to fix the issue... Trying to power off.... Didn't work, couldn't even tell if it turned off or on. Tried to do an update, another fail.

Last thing I recall was hitting my daily steps goal (fireworks) and then putting it on charge at bed. Since then it's been a paper weight (not as heavy though 😉)

What can I do? My FB is only 1 year old.... is a Warranty replacement possible?

Hi there @Michelleslibert, welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for trying to troubleshoot the issue with your Versa 2 before reaching out.

Are you feeling any sort of vibration when plugging your watch into the charger? If you're not, please follow the below steps:

  • Clean the charging contacts on the back of your device and the pins on your charging cable using the instructions in How do I clean my Fitbit device?
  • If the error "insufficient power source" appears on your device's screen, remove other devices plugged in to your power source, or plug your device in to another source.
  • Try a different USB port or a UL-certified wall charger.
  • Check the alignment and try reconnecting your device to the charging cable. For more information, see How do I charge my Fitbit device?
  • Restart your Fitbit once again. For more information, see How do I restart my Fitbit device?
