1.5 years old versa 2 , have taken numerous showers with it, but this last shower caused black screen and no response I guess it's toast, had 2 of these won't be getting another one, that's for sure

Hi there, @Tommy1955. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for bringing this to my attention. I'm sorry to hear that your Versa 3 stopped working after getting wet. I understand your concern, I will do my best to help you with this!
If your device got wet, it’s important to take it off and dry it well before putting it back on. On the other hand, if your device has come into contact with any liquid other than fresh water, you should clean it with fresh water and a soap-free cleanser and dry it with a lint free-cloth.
If you've done the above but to no avail, please try restarting your Versa 3 by following these steps.
If the restart doesn't work and your Versa 3 didn't vibrate during the process, I suggest trying the following:
