Versa 2 stopped working after swimming

With sad I must to say that I am very disappointed with it my versa 2. I bought it more than a year ago, it has not warranty. Never used my Fitbit in water because with the pandemic I couldn’t. But today do it and my Fitbit turned off and did not work again. This situation is not the first with Fitbit.

Please note that our main purpose is to avoid negative experiences to our customers, we're always willing to help and provide troubleshooting steps. Then, if the tracker is deemed defective we review eligibility using the one year warranty option. All Fitbit trackers and watches are water-resistant, which means they're rain-proof and splash-proof and can stand up to even the sweatiest workout. 

Even though it may be ok to shower with our water-resistant devices, not doing so reduces the potential for exposure to soaps, shampoos, and conditioners, which can cause long-term damage to your device and may cause skin irritation. We also don’t recommend wearing any of our devices in a hot tub or sauna.

If your device gets wet, it’s important to take it off and dry it well before putting it back on. If your device comes into contact with any liquid other than fresh water, you should clean it with fresh water and a soap-free cleanser (like Cetaphil) and dry it with a lint free-cloth.

Why would Fitbit be able to track swimming if you don’t recommend swimming with it or getting it wet?!

also a one year warranty seems to be robbery, given all of the events that people, including myself, are having with it breaking after swimming just a little more than a year after buying!
