Hi @Dhamidy 

 

You will be able to respond to text messages if you are an Android user. Unfortunately this will not be available on iOS (Apple limitation), just as the canned responses aren't either.

Can you use Alexa to send a message to someone just by saying their name and the message?

 

I keep getting the "Sending messages is not supported by this device" in the alexa screen when I try to do this. Is some setting wrong? my permissions on the Alexa app are all enabled.....

So, good to have confirmation, but that seems like a silly oversight by
Fitbit. Pebble could do this in 2015. If I can dictate a reply, why can't I
dictate a message? If I can dictate a message to Alexa on my phone, why not
my watch?

Maybe google will fix this silly....

I used to have the reply option, then one day it just disappeared. I tried updating the app and still nothing.
