Versa 2 won't sync with my Fitbit app

Hi I know this section is for versa 3 queries but I have a versa 2 and couldn’t find the page for that.

My watch is tracking my steps, but the data on the watch is no longer syncing to the app on my phone. I like to review the deep quality for example in the app which you can’t get from the watch itself, and the data isn’t there. All I can see on the watch is my steps, but as these aren’t synching I can’t participate in step challenges with friends or family. 
i have deleted and reinstalled the app, no luck. I have reset the watch, no luck. I have checked the settings of the app on my phone, all seem in order.

any advice you have would be appreciated!

As a first approach, please make sure you've tried all tips and recommendations provided in this help article Why won't my Fitbit device sync? 

@AmandaAnn16 Regarding the battery draining too fast, please note as with other electronic devices, the battery will depend on the features and how often they're used, such as the GPS, Spotify app or the Always-On display. While this doesn't mean that you shouldn't use them, please take into into consideration the conditions that impact your watch's battery.

That being said, I'd recommend to change the clock face to one designed by Fitbit and please confirm if you've followed the tips and recommendations to maximize your watch's battery life described here.

This forum is for any older Versa (Versa, lite, 2, 3)…

 

  • So I’m clear, the watch is tracking your steps fine but it is not updating the app?
  • Is it updating the web dashboard at Fitbit.com?
  • Was it working before?
  • If so, what changed?
  • When did it stop working correctly?
  • Did you update the phone app and watch firmware?
  • Are heart rate and sleep tracking working?

Trying to figure out what is and is not working on the watch and app. Start with the website and see if it is updating things there.

I am having the exact same issues with my versa2, plus the battery is draining very quickly (I used to get a week, now it drops to 50% within 1 day). Issues started Oct 26. 

Battery loses charge quickly

the watch/versa2 tracks my steps but will not sync to the app

i have deleted and restarted the app several times now to no avail. 
I’m very disappointed as I’ve been very careful to Be careful with my versa2. 

i cannot get the watch to sync at all anymore so I cannot see if it’s tracking my sleep

I’m having the same issues and thought it was just me, could well be it’s a Fitbit issue. I’m going to contact customer support and see if they can help
