Versa 2 won't wake

My versa 2 will not wake when I press the side button. If I hold it down, it pops up the logo like it's restarting and then says 'data not cleared. Sync and try again.' App says it last synced 10 hours ago and will not sync again. Any suggestions?

Hi, @authorsgirl98! Try holding the button down for ten seconds to perform the restart. If that doesn't work, there are some nuclear options you can take, like a factory reset.

It comes up with the same error when I do that.

You can try doing the tricks in this article for forcing the Fitbit to sync, that's probably a good start.

Next you can try contacting support.

If you want to try a factory reset, you can do it this way:

 

  • Hold the back button for about 8 seconds. 
  • When the Fitbit logo disappears:
    1. Release the button briefly (for less than 2 seconds). 
    2. Hold the button again until you feel a second, longer vibration, which indicates they initiated the factory reset

Just note that this means the device will no longer be connected to your account and you will have to add it again, which if this doesn't fix the issue might be impossible.
