Both my sons have Versa 3 watches and when their iPhones are too far away, Bluetooth drops off and they don’t receive text messages on their watches. This is the main reason I bought the watches. I’ve tried forgetting and reconnecting several times and it’s works for a day. How do I get it to stay connected?

Hi @Kjess71 - if the phone is too far away from the watch for Bluetooth to connect there can be no notifications received on the watch, or any communication with the phone, as everything is done via the phone.
However if the phone is setup correctly it should reconnect automatically when the watch comes in range again.
This might be useful. How do I get notifications from my phone on my Fitbit device?

Thanks. What I mean is every day I have to reconnect - manually - the watch to their phones. Phones and watches are in the same house every night.

@Kjess71 - the auto reconnect can be a problem for many reasons, mainly with the phone configuration, such as battery saving is enabled which shuts down the Fitbit App so it doesn't auto connecte anymore.
Expriment with the various settings from the link provided till you find the cause.
Each case is different as it depends on the type of phone and versions of the Fitbit App and firmware of the watch and phone and other conditions specific to the environment.

@Kjess71 - you might find the SimpleCheckUp app useful for seeing what's happening.
It will tell you directly on the watch when you last synced and if its connecting to the Fitbit App [with the phone nearby], so it may help to locate if it's a Bluetooth issue or something else.
