I have a 3rd party golf app on my Versa 3 that I use to track yardage. What’s nice about this app is that when you start it, it automatically turns on the watch GPS, and when you stop the app it turns off the GPS. As a suggestion, it would be nice if Fitbit did this with its running app. As it is now, you need to go into settings and turn on GPS, and when you are finished running you have to remember to go in and turn off GPS. If you forget it drains the battery.

Their are seperate options for GPS use durring Run, Walk, Hike, Bike, and out our workout.
This option only turns on GPS durring the exercise periods. There is no need to disable these GPS options.
Note that if GPS stayed on, your battery would be dead within 5-6 hours.
