I purchased my versa 3 a few months ago and have just recently started walking outside. I'd really love to use the GPS but it doesn't connect. It says its connecting and then after a little while it informs me that it will try to connect again. In other words..its not connected. I've tried restarting, walking away from trees, clear blue skies, battery full and all of the other tips that I'd receive from the cookie cutter response from fitbit. I saw one google response which said to have your phone with you and your location on. What's the point of a built in GPS if I need to have my phone with me? Not to mention, I do bring my phone with me with the location and data on and still nothing. Do I really need to download a separate app such as mapmywalk or whatever just to have gps for my walk? The built in gps was one of the main reasons I went with the versa 3. Am I misunderstanding the definition of built in gps?.. Why does this seem to be such a common issue yet not resolved?
